Bookmarks, and Other Great Things
Many of our friends asked if Quail Lane Studios would make cards or bookmarks available from our images. We thought about it. We wanted to stay with something tasteful, and yet delightful, and we even gave a fleeting thought to designing a $100 signed bookmark. Then we realized that when you want a signed limited edition print or an original work, you probably won't use it as a bookmark.
So we compromised. Yes we do make cards, bookmarks and other great things. The prices are low enough that everyone can enjoy these images. The images are large and of appealing high quality. Necessarily, there is no limited edition here, nothing is signed, sizes are appropriate to the use, and we've used sturdy, non-archival papers and inks.
Cards - Stay in touch
Use them for every occasion; our cards are blank inside so that you can say what you want, and each image is identified only on the very back. Cards are available for the Southwestern and floral images in Galleries 1, 2, and 3, and may be special ordered for other images. Each is single-fold and comes with an envelope, of course. Size is approximately 5 x 6 7/8"; when appropriate, the outer edge is deckled. These have been very popular and we have sold out several times in the past year.

Most images are already available and new ones are being added. We will put your favorite image on a card for a minimum order of 10 cards per image (call for special custom order prices)..

Classical Bookmarks - Keep your place
What about bookmarks? We all love a great book, especially if it is about mysterious characters who travel to marvelous places. Although we can't put the characters on your bookmark, we have the reminders of some of those places. The ink is waterproof, although we don't recommend that you read in the shower. Reverse sides describe each image. Images not shown are unavailable as they cannot be meaningfully reproduced as a bookmark strip. These are the classical bookmarks--the magnetic (new-fangled technology) ones are down below.
These bookmarks are about 2 x 8" and have a small hole punched in the top center and a cord tied at the top so that you won't lose them somewhere in that book you forgot to finish. The opposite end is finished with a deckled edge. These are 100% hand-made in our studio and each one is a little bit different.
Oh, yes... Several people have asked about particular images: Why aren't they all available as bookmarks? We'd love to accommodate you, but only a long (wide or tall) image works. If you are convinced it will work, let us know what you'd like to see, and we'll do it for you. But be careful what you wish for--one person asked for Branching Out on a bookmark, and we have a difficult time imagining the poor fat-looking quail that would result. But if you want the standard shapes, we now have them in the magnetic bookmarks below on this page.

Magnets - Stick to it!
Our magnets are the size of a credit card and are printed on white stock. They will look great on your refrigerator, but they are powerful: they'll stick to most anything made of iron or steel, like a toaster, the side of your car, or that old M-1 battle tank that you've been meaning to try out some day. We think they could even be used to pull the iron out of a package of spinach. Designs are still limited, but we probably already have the ones you want.

Magnetic Bookmarks - Snap to it!
New- New-New! Well, of course! Why not add a magnet to a bookmark? Print it beautifully, laminate it so that it lasts nearly forever, and fold it in half. Now you can have a bookmark featuring any of our wonderful images. They snap together around your page to hold your place automatically. Over 40 images are available; choose your favorites.

Coasters - You can drink to that!
New-New-New! These beautiful coasters are designed from our images. We've trimmed and tucked as needed, because these are each 4 inches square. Specially laminated on both sides, they are impervious to liquids and can even be used as trivets. Each comes with a foam rubber pad on the bottom, so there is no possibility of scratching fine surfaces. We abuse them here in the studio and they seem to hold up forever. Because of shape limitations, not all images are available. Get yours now as singles or sets.
